Wildlife Media’s Joe Pontecorvo wins acclaim at Asian TV Awards
It is a proud week for all of us at Wildlife Media. Our friend and colleague Joe Pontecorvo was honored at the 2008 Asian Television Awards in Singapore. Several of his beautiful films won awards including “Kingdom of the Elephants” which won in three categories (Best Natural History or Wildlife Program, Best Cinematography, and Best Direction). Joe was the Director, Cinematographer and Producer for this film. Joe was also Series Producer and Creator of Soul of a River, and Cinematographer, Producer, and Director for Soul of a River – China, both of which were “Highly Commended” by the 2008 Asian Television Awards.
Into its 13th year, the Asian Television Awards 2008 (ATA 2008) is positioned as the only event in the region to showcase, recognize and reward program and production excellence in Asia. This leading event enjoys the firm support of major industry players throughout the Asia Pacific region. In 2007, the awards panel received a total of 1374 entries for 29 categories.
Congratulations from us all Joe – we’re honored to be working with you!
