Wildlife Media is now participating in 1% for the Planet (1%FTP). This is a terrific opportunity to raise funds and build relationships with 1%FTP member companies. With over 1,100 members, participation allows us to more easily partner with organizations that share our interests in film and conservation.
According to 1%FTP’s website, “Members of 1% for the Planet can contribute 1% of sales to any of the environmental organizations listed on this web site. Member companies donate directly to their desired nonprofits—not through 1%FTP. We do this to encourage independent, personal relationships between member companies and the groups they support. These relationships are a real positive for businesses, enabling them to get involved and affect change firsthand.”
So our task now is to find and connect with 1%FTP members. We’ll be combing 1%FTP’s member list. But if you’re with a member company or can introduce us to someone there, we’d love to hear from you. We welcome your help…and so do the bears!

Chris Morgan presents BEARTREK at Adventure Drinks in Seattle
Thank you so much to the Adventure Drinks group on Monday night in Seattle. What a lively crowd! Having the opportunity to share my BEARTREK talk and demo reel with Seattle’s adventure travel industry was wonderful. The fact that we left with a generous donation was even better!
A special thank you to all the silent auction donors: ExOfficio, REI, Go South, Wildland Adventures, Anne Kutay, Elizabeth Pelham, Tammy Leland from Crooked Trails, and Evergreen Escapes. Thank you also to the Adventure Drinks committee for making this event happen: Gregg Burke, Kurt Kutay, Troy Glennon, Tim Hocking, Justin Wood, and Jake Haupert.
Lastly, a heartfelt thanks from me to our friends Kurt and Ann Kutay, owners of Wildland Adventures. Your work to help travelers understand and appreciate the magic of our planet, its people, and its natural wonders is truly inspirational. For those of you who don’t know Wildland Adventures, check them out at www.wildland.com.
