Wildlife Media Production Coordinator
Darcy grew up exploring the outdoors, spending summers boating & camping through the San Juan Islands and hiking in the North Cascades. While attending the University of Washington she took part in a study expedition to South America, spending time living among the Cofan Indian tribe in the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest. This experience further fueled an interest in exploring the world, which led to a ten year career in the travel and tourism industry. She supervised groups ranging from ten to twenty-five employees coordinating ground operations for a major cruise line in Florida and Alaska.
Darcy moved to Haines, Alaska to take a management position with an ecotourism company offering daily and extended river trips into the remote Alaskan and Yukon wilderness. Having worked in both the corporate and small business worlds, she is now excited to be focusing her energy on helping to preserve wilderness for the next generation. She returned to Northwest Washington to raise a family, where she enjoys hiking in the North Cascades and sharing the San Juan Islands with her children & husband Bryan via kayak. She is active in her community, volunteering in various capacities for the Bellingham School District. As a digital movie hobbyist, Darcy believes in the ability of heartfelt films to move people toward positive change. She is passionate about trying to make a difference in the world, and preserving our natural environment for future generations to experience.
