What do we do?

Wildlife Media creates epic, eye-catching films, and uses media technology to deliver inspiring stories from the natural world to people everywhere. We motivate people through these films, bringing a sea change that benefits wildlife and people for the long term. We're working to trigger a tipping point from which wildlife conservation emerges as a social norm. Our mission is to build a global wildlife conservation movement by providing exposure and funding for strategic research, education, and community-based projects around the world. Each campaign will include educational activities to further expand the public's knowledge about the issues we present, and may include school programs, web technology, social networking and community based efforts. Designed to engage the public, there will be a special emphasis on activities for young people.

Why do we do it?

Many wildlife species and wild places are in jeopardy, but a thousand uplifting stories remain untold. Stories that highlight the wonder of our natural world can motivate people to take action on behalf of conservation. Film and the wonders of modern media have the potential to inspire such a movement.

Who do we do it for?

Wild species and the conservationists who are dedicated to them. They need exposure for the critical work that they do. Work that is important for countless species, including our own. More importantly, we also fund these independent conservationists who often have no other means of significant financial support. No other conservation group does this. Built into every project is a special fundraising initiative designated for the distribution of grants that directly fund innovative grassroots conservation activities relevant to each film's subject matter.

Why film?

Using film and media technology, and social networking we invite audiences to explore with us, and then invite them to action. Our work is based on our belief that good films do more than evoke wonder, inspiration and emotion. They can create a movement of change. By partnering with wildlife biologists, and conservation organizations we are able to profile compelling, big picture stories from the natural world through powerful films and striking visual media. Focusing on charismatic megafauna and fascinating ecosystems, we draw audiences to the world of wildlife conservation, motivating them to become involved.

No other film production company does this.

Wildlife Media does not compromise. Our award-winning film production crew is among the most talented in the world, and our conservation strategists among the most innovative. We use a variety of formats strategically designed to reach a wide range of audiences including feature films, documentaries, short films, web-based media, mobile media, social networking like Twitter and Facebook, and other emerging media technology. Our productions are fresh, dynamic and often edgy, and are created to appeal to new, critical generations of potential wildlife stewards, as well as to more informed audiences. Wildlife Media is completely unique, and the time has come for our approach to have a massive, lasting impact on our world, its people, and the creatures that inhabit it.

Who we are.

Wildlife Media is a nonprofit conservation organization founded in 2007 by a small team of highly respected conservationists, filmmakers and businesspeople. We come from diverse backgrounds but share a common, heartfelt desire to truly make a difference in our world. We invite you to join us in this effort.
